Choreographic Turn #10: Eco-choreography

First Segment
June 4th to 21st, 2025

Program | Introduction  | Credits

Living is already sensational. And this applies not only to humans but to all living things. Eco-choreography, therefore, focuses more on sensitivity than sensationalism. Such are also the people, non-human beings, materials, content, formats, objects, production, and the program of the first segment of Choreographic Turn 10.

Sensational also is the radical turn toward sensitivity as a carrier of those parts of our (co)existence that we have handed over to an (overly) sensationalist spirit: youth, beauty, exceptionality, originality, perfection, individuality, as well as the production and promotion of artistic work.

Sensitivity which acknowledges vulnerability, fatigue, failure, transience, the elusive, the unknown, the invisible, together with clarity, firmness, boldness, courage, explicitness, and further invites gentleness, softness, and care into co-creation, so that in this space of sensitivity all these qualities can dance together as equal partners.

Sensational means to engage the senses, to respond. And all of that is already here, as and because we are living. Sensitivity whispers to us that there are many different ways to resonate with the world. CT10 proposes a few of those ways.
